Kidney Biopsy Codes for Pathologists
This scientific collaborative project run by Amélie Dendooven (Belgium), Sabine Leh (Norway), and Mark Helbert (Belgium) aims to develop a terminology with corresponding codes applicable to every non-neoplastic kidney biopsy. The most important advantage of a common system for pathology codes is interoperability between biopsy registries and laboratory information systems. Nephropathologists, nephropathology units and kidney biopsy registries will benefit from this.
